Dr. Justus Schönlau works as a political advisor in the PES Group in the Committee of the Regions, Brussels. Before he was an associate research fellow at the Centre for European Policy Studies, Brussels and at the same time researcher to Member of European Parliament, Jo Leinen. In 2001-2003, Justus conducted research and lectured on the European Union at Reading University and the University of Exeter. Justus is the author of a monograph "Drafting the EU Charter: Rights, Legitimacy and Process" and co-author of "Constitutional Politics in the European Union: The Convention Moment and its Aftermath" (both Palgrave-Macmillan) He is also an author of number of articles and conference presentations on the EU Constitution, decision making processes in the EU and issues of multi-level governance.
